AllHumanity Upstart Articles

Nearly a year on from our Global Forum for Improving Humanitarian Action, ALNAP is delighted to see many of the ideas raised at that Forum—such as flexible humanitarian financing, increased support to frontline responders, accountability to affected populations— are being addressed through commitments by many of our members.

Find out more about the commitments ALNAP has made for the Summit and tell us if, what and how the WHS will initiate change in the system at our exhibition booth at the ICC. We also encourage you to attend one of the side events ALNAP is supporting:

Making Evidence Count: Better Use of Evidence to Increase Humanitarian Impact
23 May, 13:00-14:30, Rumeli Hall 4, Lüfti Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Centre
Read the Evidence Lounge commitment for the WHS that ALNAP co-authored here.

Localising humanitarian aid: building resilient networks, systems, organisations and people
24 May, 13:00-14:30, Rumeli Hall 2, Lüfti Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Centre

ALNAP is also part of a broader movement to establish a Global Alliance for Urban Crises, launched at a Special Session on Day 1 of the Summit.

Is your organisation putting on a side event or making a big announcement at the Summit?

We’d love to hear about what our Members are up to and help promote these through social media, so please get in touch with us: comms@alnap.org or @alnap.
